Supporting Youth Athletics Through Community Spirit
Redlands Athletics is a volunteer-based club that promotes athletics in the Redlands area. We started back in 1980 when a group of like-minded parents wanted to bring athletics to their community. With support from Little Athletics QLD, we had our first full season in 1980/81 and moved to Cleveland State High School in 1982/83, where we’ve been ever since. In 2009, we became stronger by joining two former clubs together.
Today, we have over 250 little athletes and a growing number of senior athletes. Our club provides a pathway for athletes 12 years and older to continue into senior athletics through our partnership with Queensland Athletics. We compete in the South-East Region with nine other clubs including Algester, Balmoral, Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Mt Gravatt, Springwood, Jimboomba, and Wynnum Manly at Regional Relays and Championships twice each year.
Our club is run by a volunteer Committee of Management who give their time freely to make sure we provide safe, quality athletics programs. We welcome all members to join our committee and help run the club. We fully support Little Athletics Queensland’s “Be Your Best” policy and work to build a strong sense of community. Everyone involved with our club follows our Code of Behaviour to ensure a positive experience for all.
