The Recognition Champions Deserve
At Redlands Athletics, we recognise achievement across multiple categories to ensure every athlete has the opportunity to be celebrated. These diverse awards reflect our belief that excellence comes in many forms, from breaking personal records to demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship and community spirit throughout the season.

Barry Cox Shield Award
The Barry Cox Award honors athletes with 10+ years of club membership, commemorating former President Barry Cox who passed in 2022 and became a renowned Technical Official.

Senior Personal Best Award
The award is presented to one boy and one girl in the U9 to U17 age groups who achieve the most personal bests performances for the season.

Junior Personal Best Award
The award is presented to one boy and one girl in the U6 to U8 age groups who achieve the most personal bests performances for the season.

Redlands Encouragement Award
This award is awarded to 1 boy and 1 girl from the U6-U17 age groups who has consistently demonstrates outstanding effort and attendance at training and at club competition, displays dedication to the club by competing at regional relays and regional championships, shows enthusiasm, and displays improvement throughout the season, regardless of competitive success.

Coaches Award
This award is determined by the clubs coaching group and is awarded to one boy and one girl who in the view of our coaches achieves a high attendance level at training sessions, trains to a high standard and aims for continual improvement across the season through improved performance results and competing at both Regional Relays (nomination acceptable) and Regional Championships.

Best First Year Athlete
This award recognises one first-year boy and girl who demonstrate exceptional performance, dedication, sportsmanship, and training commitment in their debut season with Little Athletics at Redlands.

Volunteer of the Year Award
This award recognises volunteers who give freely of their time to ensure the club operates successfully, including roles like age group marshalling, canteen assistance, event setup, and equipment maintenance.

Senior Athlete of the Year
This award is presented to one boy or girl from the U13 to U17 age groups. This award is not a performance based award. The award is to recognise the importance of our senior athletes not only in personal performance and achievement but in leadership, club support, loyalty and displaying a strong sense of pride at being a member of our club in front at Regionals and LAQ events.

Junior Athlete of the Year
This award is presented to one boy or one girl from the U9 to U12 age groups. This award is not a performance based award. The award is to recognise the importance of our junior athletes not only in their personal performance and achievement but in their personal development both as an athlete and as an individual through leadership and support of fellow athletes.

Regional Athlete of the Year
This award is presented to one athlete who competes at both Regional Relays and Regional Championships. This award is not 100% based on results in terms of qualifying to either State Championship event.

State Athlete of the Year
This award is presented to one athlete only who qualifies to attend both State Relays and State Championships. Whilst results are considered they are not the determining factor for this award.

Redlands Little Athletics Award
This award is presented to a standout athlete who exemplifies the spirit and values of Little Athletics. Selection is based on a combination of the following criteria:

Improvement and Effort
Sportsmanship and Attitude
Team Spirit and Club Involvement
Leadership and Role Model Qualities

100% Club Attendance Award
All U6-U17 athletes who attend 100% of Redlands club competitions in the current season are awarded a medallion and certificate.

4 PBS in 1 Redlands Club Day
All U6-U17 athletes’ who achieve 4 PBS in the 1 Redlands club competition day are awarded a trophy.
